Third Year Renewal
Since October 28, 2022 when I first launched my Art Nun of Central Washington online journal, my Saturday morning, once-a-month posts have brought you—my esteemed readers—access to positive-spirited, “alternative views” that I and many other artists have offered to the world as antidotes to the negativity and shallow commercialism that surround our daily lives. My choice of subjects has included nature, art, music, science, and the often overlooked, behind-the-scenes life stories of creative heroes from many genres whose work has helped enrich and expand my artistic thoughts over many years.
The insights I describe in this journal are meant to be door-openers and encouragements for anyone ready to see and understand the world with new eyes. Below are three of the many affirming comments about the journal posts that I’ve received over the past two years:
Yet again…what a journey you’ve just shared full of history, connection, and beauty. Thanks for another lovely post!

Your artistry is nothing but magical!
Your expression of sharing your art, photos, and writings of your own and others brings me to a place of beautiful stillness where all is well. Thank you!

After having read the description of your beloved canyon in spring (which included haiku poetry, your photographs, and some of your drawings). I feel as though I've been in a sacred space which has refreshed my connection to the beauty in this world and the peace that follows in its path. Even in the midst of war there is room to bow to life's force.
